As Tommy Lloyd and Dusty May get ready to face each other in the Arizona-Michigan Final Four game, significant buzz for the same job is swirling between both head coaches.
With the North Carolina opening at the top of many minds, will this come down to a two-man race after the dust settles in Indianapolis? UNC fired head coach Hubert Davis following a first round loss in the NCAA Tournament to VCU. He took over five years ago for the legendary Roy Williams, who decided to retire.
UNC has yet to hire a replacement and there's no real frontrunner to replace Davis. Not to say many coaches have been part of the rumor mill. At first, Alabama's Nate Oats was linked to the job, but that has died down.
However, there seems to be more weight behind Lloyd and May than others. There's no wonder why. UNC is considered to be the top job in college basketball.
