The Ravens haven't made a ton of flashy moves in free agency, but adding Jaylinn Hawkins earns recognition as a wise offseason decisions.

The Baltimore Ravens may not have dominated headlines in free agency, but one of their quieter moves is gaining serious recognition. The addition of Jaylinn Hawkins is being viewed as one of the best value signings of the offseason. That's happening for a very good reason.

Baltimore brought Hawkins in to help stabilize a secondary that lost key contributors. That includes two safeties, Alohi Gilman and Ar'Darius Washington. While those departures created questions about depth, the Ravens responded by adding a player who offers both production and upside at a relatively modest cost.

According to Pro Football Focus analyst Mason Cameron , Hawkins' deal stands out among the league's best bargains. Despite earning a top-15 overall grade at the safety position on the platform last season, he didn't command the same level of financial commitment as many of his peers. In fact, multiple safeties signed for more this offseason, even without matching his recent performance.

That means the Ravens landed him with an added price break, and that's exactly the type of move Baltimore has built its reputation on. Hawkins steps into a favorable situation alongside established starters, Kyle Hamilton and Malaki Starks. That pairing gives the Ravens one of the more dynamic safety duos in the league.
