Rams receiver Puka Nacua made it known who he believes gets the "Iceman" nickname, and it's Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.

The recent highlight controversy between Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams and the "Iceman" trademark continues to make waves in the media spotlight, and now another NFL superstar is weighing in. Williams applying for the trademark has drawn the ire of NBA legend George Gervin and longtime sports show host Skip Bayless. But now, a young, rising player in the NFL is coming to defense of the Bears quarterback, with Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua giving his feelings on the situation.

Back in February, long before this trademark saga, Nacua was a guest on the "Pat McAfee Show" during Super Bowl weekend, and he was asked about Williams when McAfee asked him what the Bears QB's name was. Nacua, who helped lead the Rams to a victory over Chicago in the NFC divisional playoff round, quickly responded with the "Iceman" as a way to show how he recognizes Williams in the NFL. " Nacua said, when asked if he knows the name of the quarterback of Chicago, confirming the most notable way that Williams was recognized during the 2025 season. Putting together an NFL-record seven fourth-quarter comebacks in a season -- where the Bears won 11 games, clinched the NFC North division for the first time since 2018, and beat Green Bay twice -- Williams stole the spotlight for his play-making ability and wins in crunch time. The dispute for the "Iceman" nickname is likely not going away any time soon, but it says plenty about other NFL superstars recognizing Williams with that nickname after just his second season in the league.
