WWE 'Raw': Stephanie McMahon slaps Cody Rhodes
Former WWE head Stephanie McMahon returned to "Raw" to confront Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and give him a pep talk before his title match against Randy Orton.
March 31 (UPI) -- Former WWE head Stephanie McMahon returned to Raw to confront Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and give him a pep talk before his title match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42 . McMahon, who kicked off the show with Rhodes on Monday, mentioned how the champion wasn't ready to handle this different, more diabolical version of Orton. McMahon also compared Cody Rhodes to his late, great Hall of Fame father, Dusty Rhodes.
"You have to be able to think like Randy. You're father understood that better than anybody. Dusty Rhodes could roll with the best of them.
He could get down and dirty with the best of them but from what I've seen so far, you are not your father," McMahon said sternly. "You want to bring up fathers, I'm not mine, you're right. Stephanie McMahon, with all due respect, you're not yours either," Rhodes replied, a reference to WWE founder Vince McMahon.
It was at that moment McMahon slapped Rhodes in the face. "So unless you can learn to actually think like Randy, then you are going to lose that title," she continued. Rhodes, as McMahon was leaving the ring, stopped her and thanked her for the pep talk after an intense stare down.
