Viral video captures enthusiasm about USC's 2026 offensive line

•Yahoo Sports

If one position group inspires confidence in USC football for 2026, it's the offensive line, and a recent viral video confirmed that view:

USC football enters 2026 with a lot of question marks and uncertainties, but if there's a position group where the Trojans appear to be solid, it's the offensive line. The Trojans received a notable upgrade in offensive line coaching in 2025 with Zach Hanson. The promoted position coach gave USC something far better than what it had in 2024 with Josh Henson, who moved to Purdue last year to be the offensive coordinator for head coach Barry Odom.

Reason for optimism about the USC offensive line in 2026 stems primarily from the fact that Hanson is back for another season as the position coach, but another reason to think the Trojans' offensive line can be good is that strength coach Trumain Carroll now has a full offseason in which to develop players. He didn't have that last year, since he was hired in the spring, after the bulk of transfer portal movements and acquisitions had occurred. There was no way for Carroll to fully implement his own preferred plan for personal strength training development.

Now, the USC strength coach can truly get players to adjust to his own methods and schedule. The hope is that USC players will be more fully formed -- physically and mentally -- thereby leading to stronger and more consistent performances, especially against elite teams and even more particularly on the road in the Big Ten. You can see in the video below from Ryan Dyrud of the LA Football Network how hulking and massive USC's offensive linemen really are.
