There's a fascinating factor in play that might keep him with the Los Angeles Lakers beyond this season, though: golf. James' contract with the Lakers is up at the end of this season, but ESPN's Dave McMenamin and Tim Bontemps report in a new article that the King and the Lakers would be open to reuniting for another season if the contract makes sense. And one of the reasons James might want to do it?

His burgeoning love for the links. "Another motivator, mentioned to ESPN by several league sources when asked to assess James' situation, can't be overlooked: It's hard to beat Southern California's year-round climate and golf courses to fuel his growing obsession," the ESPN insiders write. "His wife, Savannah, and 11-year-old daughter, Zhuri, live with him in his recently renovated Brentwood estate," ESPN's duo writes. "Bronny has a partially guaranteed contract with the Lakers next season. And his other son, Bryce, plays basketball at the University of Arizona, a short flight away.
