Will the Broncos trade out a wide receiver? GM George Paton chimed in on that topic.

After acquiring Jaylen Waddle from the Miami Dolphins, the Denver Broncos have a deep wide receiver room, prompting speculation that the team could trade out one of their receivers to regain some draft capital. Speaking at the NFL's annual league meeting in Phoenix this week, Broncos general manager George Paton rebuffed that notion . Going into the NFL draft, Denver has seven receivers in Courtland Sutton, Jaylen Waddle, Pat Bryant, Marvin Mims, Troy Franklin, Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Michael Bandy.

“We really like those pieces," Paton said on Monday, via the Denver Post 's Luca Evans . "And they’re all going to help us. They’ve all helped us, until now.

Lil’Jordan and Bandy. We’re 7-8 deep. We really like it.

And so why would we build up this room and trade someone right now? ” It's always possible that a GM could be lying in an effort to build up a player's trade value, but there's no reason not to trust Paton on this. The Broncos were hit hard by injuries at wide receiver during the playoffs last season, so it's not surprising that the team would like to keep its depth at the position.
