New York Giants coach John Harbaugh isn't interested in the positional value conversation and says RB Jeremiyah Love is a "very, very good player."
New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh expressed strong admiration for Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love during the NFC coaches' breakfast on Monday at the NFL Annual League Meeting in Phoenix. When asked about positional value and the potential of selecting a running back with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft, Harbaugh emphasized that the Giants' priority is building the strongest possible roster rather than adhering strictly to traditional draft economics.
"The business is football. We are a football business, that’s what we do," Harbaugh said. "We’re trying to make our fans happy.
We want to win games. We want to be successful. We want them to come out to the stadium, and be happy after the game.
"To do that, we've gotta build the very best team we can. You build the best team you can with the best players you can get. " Love, widely regarded as the top prospect in the upcoming draft class, drew particular praise from Harbaugh.
