Big 12 softball power rankings: Is Oklahoma State's Ruby Meylan heating up for stretch run?

Texas Tech and Arizona maintain the 1-2 spots in this week's Big 12 softball power rankings but there's movement behind them.

Oklahoma State pitcher Ruby Meylan might be dialing in at the perfect time for the Cowgirls. OSU went 4-0 last week, picking up its first sweep of a Big 12 series, and Meylan earned all four wins. Meylan allowed one earned run over 13 ⅓ innings pitched in the three games against Utah and leads the Big 12 in earned-run average for conference games.

She has appeared in all but one of OSU’s 12 conference games, pitching a league-high 57 ⅔ innings, while no other pitcher in the conference has surpassed 44 innings. Meylan has allowed just 10 earned runs in conference games for a 1. 21 ERA, nearly half a run better than the 1.
