What did Kyle Shanahan say about losing Robert Saleh to Titans?
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is happy for Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh, but didn't want to lose him during the offseason.
The NFL League Meetings are off and running in Phoenix, Arizona, and the NFC was the focus of the morning at the annual coaches breakfast, but that didn’t stop the Tennessee Titans from coming up in conversation. The Titans have made major changes during the offseason, and in the process, they have taken on an NFC feel by hiring Robert Saleh, Brian Daboll, and Gus Bradley away from the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Giants to rebuild the organization after firing Brian Callahan during the 2025 season. Saleh and Bradley are coming over from the 49ers, and Jim Wyatt caught up with the 49ers head coach, Kyle Shanahan, to ask him his thoughts on Saleh getting a second chance to be a head coach.

I thought he got a raw deal the first time, and I think he's in a good situation. We hated to lose him with the Niners, but we’re really happy for him. I know he’s gonna do a hell of a job for the team.
