Right now, though, Stanton is simply compiling hits in a hot start to the season for the New York Yankees . In the process, Stanton has become the first Yankees player since 2003 to begin the season with four consecutive multi-hit games. The Yankees sure would love if Stanton kept it rolling for a couple more games. Stanton has always been a guy who hits the ball incredibly hard, so it's not that he isn't capable of getting base hits. It's just that he's much more known for crushing the ball over the fence.

In his 8-for-16 start, though, Stanton has just one home run. That's not a concern, because a bunch of his hits have been whacked at Stantonian levels of power -- just not at a launch angle to get them all the way over a fence. The quirkiest part of this -- Stanton has gone exactly 2-for-4 in all four Yankees games.
