USC basketball report - Evan Mobley and Bronny James rise

Yahoo Sports

The Trojans' basketball season is over, but many former USC basketball players are producing a high level of play in the NBA

In the Trojans sole game for college basketball this past week, they got dominated by the powerhouse that is the South Carolina women's basketball team. Still within that loss, one Trojan shone. Many former Trojans in the NBA had an impressive week, or in the case of Bronny, their best days in the league are just ahead of them.

Here are my top performers this past week for USC hoopers, both in college and the NBA: Women's Basketball - Londynn Jones It was a sad ending to a season that was finally turning for the Trojans women's basketball team as they got blown out by South Carolina. In that game, however, senior Londynn Jones had 20 points off the bench, shooting 5-6 from 3, and had 4 rebounds in her final game at USC. Jazzy Davidson was the star of the show, but it was nice for Jones to go out with a game like this.

NBA - Demar DeRozan DeRozan, this past week, went on a tear and had 2 elite performances. On Thursday, he dropped 33 points, had 11 assists, and 6 rebounds. The most recent showing he had was 22 points on Saturday, and 4 rebounds.

Derozan continues to show that he still has it, and he can provide a team with a nice scoring punch even at his older age. NBA - De'Anthony Melton Melton only appeared in 2 games this past week, but one of which he had a great all-around performance. On Wednesday, he dropped 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals.
