2027 5-star CB John Meredith will reportedly visit Texas A&M next month for an unofficial visit before his OV in early June.

Texas A&M's 2027 recruiting class is one of the primary focuses a couple of weeks into the spring football season, as coach Mike Elko and his revamped coaching staff have already hosted several priority five-star prospects in the cycle, including blue-chip cornerback Joshua Dobson , who announced his official visit to College Station, set for June 5-7. While Dobson remains a slight favorite to land with LSU, fellow 2027 five-star cornerback John Meredith, who is likely the Aggies' No. 1-ranked priority prospect, is scheduled to take an official visit on June 12-14 and will reportedly choose between Texas A&M and Alabama, even though Ohio State and the Texas Longhorns will also receive official visits.

However, Meredith confirmed that he will take an unofficial visit to College Station next week after the Easter Weekend, stating to GigEm247 recruiting insider Joseph Hastings that he plans to take advantage of an early opportunity to meet with the coaching staff once more before his OV, and will be able to take in a practice or two during his weekend stay. "I've got A&M next week. I believe it's Friday through Sunday," Meredith stated.

"(I'm lookingforward to) another great day out there. " Despite the offseason staff turnover, the elevation of secondary coach Bryant Gross-Armiento to cornerbacks coach has received plenty of praise, including from five-star freshman cornerback Brandon Arrington, and when asked by the Aggies made his final six program list, Meredith simply stated that Mike Elko has been targeting him since his early playing days. "They've been recruiting me since I was a youngin, so I kept them in there," Meredith stated.

According to 247Sports, Meredith is currently positioned as the 5th-ranked prospect in the 2027 class, the No. 1-ranked cornerback, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Texas.
