Bundesliga outfit via a release clause in the €12m range. Kennet Eichhorn has many suitors It has been treated as a matter of common knowledge that Eichhorn will depart his hometown club this summer. The teenage talent has nearly quadrupled his estimated market value (from €6m to €20m) since making his debut for the Hertha senior side this season.
Leverkusen hope to emulate the recruitment efforts that also enabled them to obtain Ibrahim Maza from Hertha last summer. Unlike Maza, however, Eichhorn won’t be expected to immediately contribute at the Bundesliga level. Sky reports that the Berlin native – who is currently recovering from as syndesmotic injury in his ankle – will be loaned back out to Hertha for the 2026/27 campaign in order to continue his development at a slower and more comfortable pace.
Will Eichhorn sign with another club? The youngster is considered one of the most sought after talents in Europe and has also been linked with Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Arsenal FC. Bayern Munich are also reported to have held talks with Eichhorn’s entourage and can offer him the chance to work on the famous FCB campus.
A move to Leverkusen and loan out to Hertha still makes a great deal of sense from Eichhorn’s perspective. Maza’s success at Germany’s red company team can serve as a magnificent selling point. So too can the chance to still represent Hertha for another year.
