Spain boss sends Eric Garcia World Cup 2026 message amid impressive season with Barcelona
He could still make the squad for the tournament this summer.

Garcia was left out of the latest squad for friendlies against Serbia and Egypt despite having been in excellent form for Barcelona so far this season. De la Fuente spoke about his omission ahead of Tuesday’s match against Egypt and insisted Eric still has a chance of making it to this summer’s tournament in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
“Eric has been with me in the U19s, U21s, and the Olympics,” he told a press conference. “He’s very well-liked by everyone, including me, and he has every chance. He had a minor injury, and perhaps that’s why he hasn’t come.
There are still two months to go, and a lot can happen. ” Garcia will return to action after the international break with Barcelona and will hope he can force his way into the Spain squad for the World Cup.
