After 25 years, Patriots finally set to make 'Hard Knocks' debut

Yahoo Sports

The New England Patriots are reportedly getting a "Hard Knocks" series in 2027.

If NFL fans needed another example of the changing times in New England, look no further than Monday's news that HBO's "Hard Knocks" is set to do a series featuring the Patriots in 2027. ESPN's Adam Schefter, via Mike Reiss , reported the news from the NFL's annual meeting. It will be the first time that the Patriots have been featured in the reality television series since its launch in 2001.

The franchise had previously fallen off a cliff after legendary quarterback Tom Brady took his talents to Tampa Bay to lead the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl title in 2020. After Brady's exit, Belichick's near 20-year dynasty evaporated into dust like the fragile antique that it was. With Brady calling games for FOX Sports and Belichick coaching college football at North Carolina, the Patriots have a pair of new stars that fans are eager to see behind the scenes in head coach Mike Vrabel and quarterback Drake Maye.

The duo helped lead the Patriots to Super Bowl LX last season in Santa Clara, where they were trounced in a 29-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Another perennial championship contender is on the rise, and NFL fans will get a sneak peek into a team that could be talked about for years to come. Follow Patriots Wire on Twitter and Facebook .
