Nets' Terance Mann (Achilles soreness) out Tuesday vs. Hornets
Brooklyn Nets forward Terance Mann is among those out for Tuesday's game against the Charlotte Hornets due to left Achilles soreness.
The Brooklyn Nets ended their 10-game losing streak on Sunday when they beat the Sacramento Kings 116-99 thanks to contributions from players like forward Ochai Agbaji and rookie guard Nolan Traore. With a matchup against the surging Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday, Brooklyn will have to play its best version of basketball, but it seems that they will have to navigate some injuries at the same time. The Nets announced on Monday that forwards Danny Wolf and Terance Mann are out for Tuesday's game against the Hornets due to their respective injuries.
For Wolf, he is still recovering from a left ankle sprain that the team has not provided more information on while Mann is dealing with some soreness in his left Achilles, an issue he has been working through over the past few weeks. Wolf has missed the past four games due to his ankle sprain that he suffered in a 126-122 loss at the Kings on Mar. 22 and it seems like he will continue to miss time with the issue.
Nets head coach Jordi Fernandez has been asked about Wolf's condition over the past week, but he says that the team doesn't have any new information on his timeline which could mean that he's in danger of missing the rest of the season with his injury. Mann has been mostly available this season as he has played in 62 of Brooklyn's 75 games this season, but he has missed time recently due to the soreness. With Wolf and Mann out of the rotation for Tuesday's game against Charlotte, that could mean more playing time for players like forward Chaney Johnson and guard Tyson Etienne as Fernandez likes to play at least 10 guys in any given game.
Moving on, forward Jalen Wilson is probable for Tuesday's game against the Hornets due to an illness so he should be able to play, but there is always a chance of him missing the contest if his illness doesn't improve. Wilson is one of the players that has seen more playing time due to the amount of injuries plaguing the roster so the hope is that he will play so that Fernandez and the coaching staff can continue evaluating him. For tomorrow's game against the Hornets, the Nets say rookie Danny Wolf (left ankle sprain) and Terance Mann (left Achilles soreness) are OUT.
