Bayern Munich, Raphaël Guerreiro to part ways in summer
FC Bayern and the former BVB star will end their relationship after the season.

The 32-year-old Portugal international joined the German record champions on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2023 and has to date won one Bundesliga title and one German Supercup with the Munich side. Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl thanked Guerreiro for his efforts with the club. “We would like to express our sincere thanks to Rapha for the time he has spent with us: we could always rely on Rapha on the pitch, and he is one of those characters who enriches any dressing room.
Our discussions with him were constructive and based on trust and mutual understanding. We are now focusing, alongside him, on our goals for the rest of the season – there’s still a lot we want to achieve together,” said Eberl. Bayern Munich also offered this summery of Guerriero’s Bayern Munich career to date: Guerreiro has made 89 appearances for FC Bayern to date, during which the versatile player has scored 12 goals and provided eight assists.
That versatility means he’s played both as a full-back and in central midfield. For his home country Portugal, with whom he won the European Championship in 2016, celebrated victory in the Nations League in 2019 and took part in two World Cups (2018 and 2022), he has made 65 appearances to date, scoring four goals. Guerreiro arrived in Bavaria in 2023 from Borussia Dortmund and has provided a solid veteran presence at a variety of positions during his tenure.
