Four-star wing Jaidyn Coon schedules visit with Iowa men's basketball
2026 Iowa Mr. Basketball winner Jaidyn Coon is visiting the Hawkeyes.
IOWA CITY — 2026 Iowa Mr. Basketball winner Jaidyn Coon will take an official visit with the Hawkeyes on Tuesday, March 31. Coon’s grassroots program, D1 Minnesota , announced the visit on social media.
Coon is a four-star prospect and ranked 116th nationally, according to the 247Sports Composite. He is the third-ranked player in the state of Iowa's 2026 high school class. Coon averaged 22 points, 9.
3 rebounds, 3. 1 assists and 1. 7 steals per game during his senior season at Storm Lake High School.
The 6-foot-7 wing was set to attend Creighton but reopened his recruitment after longtime head coach Greg McDermott announced his retirement. "After recent changes at Creighton, I will be reopening my recruitment," Coon announced on March 24. "I’m grateful for Coach McDermott and the entire Creighton staff.
