Titans' Mike Borgonzi expects a competition at center and right guard

The Tennessee Titans have some questions along the interior of the offensive line, and general manager Mike Borgonzi expects an offseason competition.

The Tennessee Titans still have some needs to address in free agency or the draft, specifically along the interior of the offensive line. Now, in a moment at the NFL League Meetings, general manager Mike Borgonzi gave some insight into what fans should expect. Titans reporter Jim Wyatt caught up with Borgonzi, and the two discussed a few topics, including the interior of the offensive line, where the Titans have some questions at center and right guard after the release of Lloyd Cushenberry and Kevin Zeitler, who is an unrestricted free agent.

. @Titans GM Mike Borgonzi: Keeping all options open on interior line, we're not done. There will be competition at center and right guard.

We still have options in the draft, free agency etc — Jim Wyatt (@jwyattsports) March 30, 2026 Borgonzi told Wyatt that the Titans were not done addressing the need along the interior line, sees options in both the draft and free agency, and expects a competition for those starting spots throughout the offseason and training camp. At a quick glance, the sound of those comments makes it seem unlikely that Zeitler was set to return. As an established veteran who continues to play at a high level, he wouldn’t need to battle in a competition to win the starting job.

However, this is also smokescreen season, and it is hard to tell exactly what is going on behind the scenes within the organization. Tennessee has enough salary cap space to bring Zeitler back, and he could still be an option with Borgonzi saying they still have some free-agent options, but that is purely speculation mixed with some fact, and an answer will likely come once the draft plays out. If the Titans decide to address the interior of the line early, they may not feel the need to grab another veteran.
