For a unit that was one game away from the Super Bowl last season, that approach is a little odd, but there is still time to add quality to the roster. The defense appears set, but there are some questions at linebacker, and it is here where Denver could make a shrewd signing. Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport thinks the Broncos should look to bring in Bobby Wagner.

"At this point in his 14-year professional career, Bobby Wagner isn't the force he once wasโ€”the 2025 season was just the second time the 35-year-old didn't make the Pro Bowl in well over a decade," Davenport wrote . "Wagner wouldn't be especially expensive, and the 10-time Pro Bowler would likely relish taking a run at a second Super Bowl win. If Wagner is a bit-part player, then sure. After all, the Washington Commanders haven't brought him back for a reason. But Wagner's leadership both on and off the field could be a nice ingredient to bring to Denver's already star-studded defense.
