Avila (8-9), one of Diaz’s longtime teammates and closest friends, lands on the card in a move that feels more than fitting given Diaz is also featured in the triple-header.
Avila went 0-2 during his UFC stint, suffering losses to Artem Lobov and Enrique Barzola before being released.
