Trey Hendrickson gives back to Cincinnati, Ted Karras
A heartwarming story featuring former Bengals star Trey Hendrickson.
When Trey Hendrickson left the Cincinnati Bengals in NFL free agency to join the rival Baltimore Ravens, center Ted Karras made a harmless joke. Back then, Karras joked on social media that he would forgive Hendrickson "if he donates $1M" to his Cincy Hat Foundation. Back in present day, Hendrickson has made it happen, in a way.
This week, Hendrickson and his wife, Alisa, made a $250,000 donation. "Ted's tweet may have helped kick this one off, but Alisa and I are truly proud to support The Cincy Hat Foundation and the incredible work Ted continues to do for adults with disabilities," Hendrickson said in a statement, via WLWTโs Fletcher Keel . "Regardless of where I play, I will always be grateful for the opportunity to support the impact The Cincy Hat is making for families.
" Karras later commented on the saga on social media: Respect brother. Thank you. Your generosity will house adults with disabilities for generations.
Iโll see you out there, twice a year. Hopefully Thursday Night in Cincy this timeโฆ https://t. co/RGi2ThtKZU โ Teddy Karras (@_teddy_k) March 30, 2026 So, good on Karras and Hendrickson for keeping the focus on the off-field things that matter.
