UConn coach Dan Hurley went viral after Braylon Mullins' miraculous three-point shot to knock off Duke in Sunday's Elite Eight. After Mullins' game-winner went through the net with just 0. 4 seconds to play, Hurley got in the face of an official in a way that many fans interpreted as taunting or intimidating.

He also seemed to have potentially made contact with the referee. Hurley ultimately was not called for a technical foul for his conduct โ€” a decision that could have decided the game. While we don't know exactly why it went uncalled, college basketball analyst Seth Davis offered one possible explanation.

"Just for context ... the referee is Roger Ayers, who has worked multiple Final Fours," Davis posted. "Known for his toughness and also sense of humor.
