Baylor Scheierman has been one of the biggest success stories from the Boston Celtics' season so far. The sophomore forward has rapidly developed into a key member of Joe Mazzulla's rotation. According to Basketball Index, Scheierman has been excelling when guarding "tier 1 usage talents," which essentially means the league's best players.
Furthermore, Scheierman's shooting touch has levelled out, with the 25-year-old converting on 38. 6% of his perimeter attempts. He's also shown legitimate upside as a rebounder and tertiary playmaker.
As such, Scheierman has been a staple off the bench for Mazzulla, often playing sizeable minutes as the seventh or eighth man in the rotation.
