Washington's rising star OF named Big Ten Freshman of the Week
One of the top members of Washington's stellar 2026 class earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors on Monday.
There have been few brighter first-year stars in the Big Ten this season than Washington Huskies outfielder Kaycie Burdick. On Monday, coach Heather Tarr's new leadoff hitter from Foothill High School in Pleasanton, California, received Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors after a stellar week as she helped propel the Huskies to a 4-0 week as they stretched their winning streak to 20 in a row.
