The New York Jets saw one of their former players announce their surprise retirement this offseason, with Bryce Huff, who spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles and, most recently, in 2025 with the San Francisco 49ers , retiring at 27 years old.

It was a surprising announcement from Huff, but he's not the only former Jets player to step away from the game of football this offseason. According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, former Jets quarterback Chris Streveler, who made one start for the Jets back in 2022, has retired from playing professional football. "Who can forget his #Jets cameo in 2022, when he attempted 15 passes and completed 10? Had a nice run in the CFL. " When it comes to former Jets players, Streveler is certainly one of them.

He played in just two games in his Jets career, playing seven special teams snaps in his second game, and being the starting quarterback for his first game with the team. During his lone start, Streveler completed 10 of 15 passes for a 66. 7 completion percentage for 90 yards.
