‘Hopefully they don’t boo Leroy Sané next time’ — Deniz Undav addresses Germany fans after win over Ghana

The former FC Bayern player was subjected to boos from the crowd.

Deniz Undav was not among them, but he was subbed on at half time to cheers from the home fans.

Undav ended up being the difference maker in the end, scoring a striker’s goal to make it 2-1 near the end of the game. The Stuttgart crowd went wild, celebrating their star striker nabbing the win. Speaking to the media following the game, Undav acknowledged the cheers.

“I thank the fans for chanting my name,” he said (via @iMiaSanMia ). “That made me happy. But hopefully next time they don’t boo Leroy Sané.

That was a pity. Leroy is part of the team, just like myself, every player and every staff member. We should support everyone.
