The Bruins’ seventh-overall pick made his presence felt in Providence. He picked up a goal and an assist in his first three games, but even in a loss, the P-Bruins bench boss had positive things to say.
Hagens’ World Junior Championship teammate, Will Zellers, is on his way to Las Vegas for the Frozen Four – he is the only Bruins’ prospect still in the NCAA tournament. The other five bowed out, but some still got on the board in the NCAA regional round. The Bruins’ minor league affiliates are both booked for the playoffs.
The Providence Bruins won two of three, but are still on top of the AHL, and the Maine Mariners swept the weekend, picked up four more points, and a spot in the playoffs. The Bruins have until August 15, 2026, to sign the BC captain.
However, Mark Divver reported that there was “no comment” from P-Bruins GM Evan Gold when asked about Gasseau’s contract negotiations.
