Big week ahead for Michigan State baseball to get back on track
There is a big week ahead for Michigan State baseball, who looks to get the 2026 season back on track.
A big week lies ahead for Michigan State baseball, who needs a jump start in their 2026 season that is off to a horrific start. Starting the year 9-17 (4-8 B1G), it has not gone well, but the bright spot is that there is a ton of time to right the ship and this is the perfect week to do that. A couple of midweek games will get the Spartans going, hosting Central Michigan on Tuesday before they make a short trip to Lansing for the annual Crosstown Showdown at Jackson Field against the Lansing Lugnuts, the High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics .
After a couple of midweek games, that should draw some strong fan interest, the Spartans will head to Evanston, Ill. for a three-game series against Northwestern. This is a great opportunity for the Spartans to get their Big Ten season back on track, as Northwestern will enter 9-14-1 (3-6 B1G).
