Browns QB Shedeur Sanders wearing No. 2 next season, wore No. 15 his rookie season

Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders will be going back to his roots next season. The Browns announced that Sanders will wear No. 2 next season.

Sanders wore No. 2 dating back to his days at the University of Colorado, Jackson State and Trinity Christian High School in Texas. Sanders wore No.

15 during his rookie season, with former Browns wide receiver DeAndre Carter previously wearing No. 2. With Carter no longer on the team, Sanders was able to make the switch.

Sanders is now the latest Brown to wear the number, following players such as former wide receiver Amari Cooper and former quarterbacks Johnny Manziel, Tim Couch, and Bailey Zappe. Sanders made the announcement official with an Instagram post wearing No. 2 in a Browns jersey, captioned, “Thank you GOD” and “legendary.
