Porter Martone raves about his time at MSU during media session
In his first media session after joining the Flyers, Porter Martone raved about his time in East Lansing.
Michigan State hockey saw it's season come to a tragic end in the regional final this past Saturday. While unfortunately it was not the outcome the team wanted, Spartan fans got to see Porter Martone ink his first NHL deal. Martone was always thought to be a one-and-done with Michigan State, so losing him is not a massive deal, but instead nice to see a Spartan get the opportunity to play at the next level.
When joining the Philadelphia Flyers, Martone had his first media session, where had nothing but amazing things to say about his year in East Lansing. "I look back and (picking Michigan State) is the best decision I ever made. I have a ton of thanks to Adam Nightingale and the whole staff there.
They did a tremendous job developing me. I learned so much as a player and in the gym creating pro habits. I really learned what its like to be part of a winning culture and winning team there.
