It's one of the reasons the New York Yankees sent him to Triple-A to open the 2026 season. The AL East club would also like him to receive every day at-bats , something that would have been impossible with the Major League club. In left field, Dominguez tallied minus nine outs above average last season, further showcasing that his defensive woes are a glaring issue.
Even in the minors, things don't appear to be trending in the right direction for the former top international prospect from the Dominican Republic. It’s just the same thing for this guy and I don’t understand it I really don’t. I genuinely gave him so much grace last year given he was coming back from long injuries, hadn’t played the position before, and it was his rookie season.
