Gary Woodland withdrew from the Valero Texas Open after his emotional win at the Houston Open, qualifying him for the Masters.
Gary Woodland has new plans the next two weeks. On Monday, Woodland withdrew from the Valero Texas Open , which begins Thursday at TPC San Antonio. He did so because he gets to tee it up next week at the 2026 Masters thanks to his victory Sunday at the Texas Children's Houston Open .

Earlier this month, Woodland revealed he battles PTSD as a side effect from the surgery.
However, he overcame that Sunday for a five-shot victory in his fifth PGA Tour win. Although he's not teeing it up at TPC San Antonio later this week, there's a good reason why he's not in the field. He'll be celebrating instead, and Woodland deserves every second of it.
