Pat McAfee didn’t waste any time capturing one of the defining moments of the 2026 NCAA Tournament, sitting down with Braylon Mullins after his dramatic game-winning shot sent the UConn Huskies back to the Final Four.

McAfee opened with a nod to Mullins’ Indiana roots as he “punched a ticket back to Indianapolis. ” But the spotlight quickly shifted to the shot. It was a moment Mullins admitted still felt surreal.

Despite starting the game 0-for-4, Mullins knew what he had to do. With seconds ticking down, he trusted his instincts. “I knew once I had the ball… I had to put one up,” Mullins said .

“It came off my hand pretty well. It’s crazy that was the one that went in. ” McAfee pressed on the confidence factor, noting teammates could be heard on the CBS broadcast saying any shot Mullins takes has a chance.
