6 of the 49ers coaches have new titles; K.J. Wright receives a promotion
The 49ers officially announced their coaching staff changes

However, six coaches will have new titles. Hereโs the entire list: Cameron Clemmons โ Tight Ends coach Matt Eberflus โ Assistant Head Coach Defense Micah Foerster โ Seasonal Coaching Assistant Joe Graves โ Run Game Coordinator Jerry Gray โ Defensive Passing Game Coordinator Leonard Hankerson โ Passing Game Coordinator/Wide Receivers Johnny Holland โ Defensive Run Game Coordinator Angel Matute โ Defensive Quality Control Raheem Morris โ Defensive Coordinator Roman Sapolu โ Assistant Offensive Line Deuce Schwartz โ Offensive Assistant/Tight Ends Jacob Webster โ Offensive Assistant/Quarterbacks K. J.
Wright โ Linebackers Clemmons, Graves, Hankerson, Holland, Schwartz, Webster, and Wright will all have new titles in 2026. Clemmons spent the previous two seasons as the teamโs assistant offensive line coach. Graves spent the previous four seasons as the teamโs offensive assistant.
He was listed as the quarterbacks coach last season. Hankerson had been the wide receiver coach since 2021. Passing game coordinator is a title that multiple offensive coordinators have held before being promoted.
