The Los Angeles Lakers will play without superstar Luka Doncic on Monday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Doncic will serve a one-game suspension from the NBA and lose $264,000 in salary after picking up his 16th technical foul of the season on Saturday while playing the Brooklyn Nets. Doncic and Nets forward Ziaire Williams received double techs in the third quarter of Saturday’s game.

A video review showed Doncic push Williams after a play, then Williams hit Doncic in the chest while walking away. Doncic will be eligible to play in the Lakers’ game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday. But he will continue to be at risk of suspension for the remaining seven games of the regular season.
