Rams considered trading away Davante Adams, Sean McVay confirms
Sean McVay confirmed the report that the Rams considered trading away Davante Adams, but ultimately decided against it.
The Los Angeles Rams were linked to A. J. Brown recently as a potential trade suitor for the Philadelphia Eagles star.
While the Rams were eyeing Brown, it was reported by Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk that they were simultaneously considering trading away Davante Adams to make room for Brown. Though many dismissed that report, Sean McVay confirmed the Rams did have discussions about trading Adams. He said at the annual league meeting on Monday that the Rams considered moving Adams and kept him in the loop throughout those talks.
McVay said that if the Rams believed it would have made the team better, they would have traded Adams. But theyโre โglad heโs a Ram,โ McVay said. He also said he loves Adams "as a human" and is happy to have him back for another year.
