49ers are in 'no rush' to trade WR Brandon Aiyuk, per Shanahan
It doesn't sound as though a Brandon Aiyuk trade is happening any time soon.
The future of receiver Brandon Aiyuk is more than likely not with the San Francisco 49ers , but that doesn't mean the team is ready to get rid of him just yet. Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters during the NFL owners' meeting in Phoenix on Monday that the team wants to get something in return for Aiyuk instead of outright releasing him. However, he added that "we're in no rush to do that" when it comes to a trade.
49ers HC Kyle Shanahan said the team hopes the team can get something in return for WR Brandon Aiyuk. He said he's not sure when that might take place, "I know we're in no rush to do that. " pic.

Other team insiders have noted how hard it will be to trade Aiyuk given the lack of leverage the 49ers have as well as Aiyuk's contract.
But since the 49ers voided Aiyuk's guaranteed money already, there isn't an impetus to move on from the talented receiver for nothing. So while Aiyuk remains technically on the team, the 49ers are more or less waiting for someone to come to them with an offer so they can officially move on.
