The Tigers will play in one of the first volleyball matches in the ballpark’s history

Now, the Friendly Confines will hold an outdoor volleyball match for the first time — and Mizzou is one of the schools involved in the historic event. com/axD5fkJN6H — Mizzou Volleyball (@MizzouVB) March 30, 2026 The Tigers will face Nebraska in a nationally televised match Sep. 6 on FOX as part of the inaugural SEC/Big Ten Volleyball Challenge Week. MU’s match with the Cornhuskers is part of a doubleheader that will also include Kentucky and Penn State.

“What an incredible opportunity for our volleyball team to compete under the lights at Wrigley Field this fall against Nebraska,” head coach Dawn Sullivan said in the Mizzou Athletics press release. “This is a moment our players will carry with them for the rest of their lives. To play on such a historic stage, in a city that means so much to us, makes it even more memorable.
