Tiger Woods is once again at the center of a headline storm, and this time, it is not about a comeback swing or a Sunday finish. Following a high-speed rollover crash near Jupiter Island on Friday, March 27, the 50-year-old golf legend is now facing DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test. Yes, that mugshot currently making the rounds is very real, and so is the growing frustration around it.

Because here is the part that has everyone doing a collective double-take: this marks at least the fourth major vehicle-related incident for the 15-time major champion. At this point, the conversation is no longer just about what happened in this latest crash. It is about why this keeps happening at all.

Authorities on the scene reported that Woods appeared “lethargic” and showed “signs of impairment”. But the bigger question hovering over the entire situation is almost painfully obvious. Why is someone with his level of wealth, access, and history still choosing to drive himself?
