Gary Woodland had an emotional message after his victory at the 2026 Texas Children's Houston Open.

The emotion quickly poured out as soon as the final putt dropped. Gary Woodland won the 2026 Texas Children's Houston Open on Sunday, perhaps the story of the year on the PGA Tour. Woodland revealed not even three weeks ago he has dealt with PTSD since undergoing brain surgery in September 2023, but that admission lifted pressure off Woodland, who capitalized with his fifth PGA Tour win on Sunday.

Speaking with NBC' Cara Banks on the green after his victory, Woodland gave an impassioned speech while fighting through the tears. "We play an individual sport but I wasn't alone today. " An emotional Gary Woodland reflects on his win only a few years removed from brain surgery.
