Tennessee softball coach Karen Weekly said "there's nothing wrong with us" after UT lost the Ole Miss series 2-1, dropping a second straight SEC series.

Tennessee softball  is learning in real time how unforgiving the SEC is. The No. 4 Lady Vols started the season with a 26-game winning streak, which set the record for the best start in program history.

But they've gone 5-5 in the last 10 games, and they've lost two straight SEC series. Tennessee (30-5, 7-5 SEC) walked it off for a 4-3 win at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium on March 29 to avoid getting swept by Ole Miss (23-15, 2-10). The Lady Vols blew a three-run lead and the game was tied going into the seventh inning, but Saviya Morgan drew a walk with the bases loaded for the win.

Tennessee ended a four-game losing streak in SEC matchups after UT lost the road series 2-1 at No. 3 Florida. Tennessee coach Karen Weekly said the "crazy start" to the season wasn't something anyone expected with the youth on the team.

It's just as hard to learn to handle the praise that comes with success as the criticism that comes with losses, Weekly said. "This morning, the talk was all about, there's nothing wrong with us," Weekly said. "Stop hitting the panic button.
