co/TSTwVqXlbQ — Vegas Golden Knights (@GoldenKnights) March 29, 2026 The move comes as a bit of a shock. Vegas is currently in third place in the Pacific Division with 80 points, which is a playoff spot. That said, the Golden Knights have not been playing their best hockey, and their hold on a playoff spot has shrunk to just four points.
Over their last 10 games, the Golden Knights are 3-5-2. Still, it feels rare that a team would fire its head coach in the midst of a playoff push. Especially for a team in a playoff position.
