Tennessee softball wins series finale against Ole Miss.

No. 4 Tennessee (30-5, 7-5 SEC) defeated Ole Miss (23-15, 2-10 SEC), 4-3, Sunday at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. The Lady Vols salvaged a win in the series finale against the Rebels after Sophia Knight hit a walk-off single in the seventh inning, breaking a, 3-3, tie.

Tennessee led, 3-0, in the third inning after freshman Elsa Morrison hit a three-run double in the third inning. Ole Miss tied the game with a three-run home run by Madi George. Morrison went 1-for-4.

She hit one double and recorded three RBIs for the Lady Vols, who lost the first two games of the series against the Rebels. Alannah Leach went 2-for-3 and hit one double for Tennessee, which recorded five hits in the contest, while Emma Clarke went 1-for-2. She hit one double and scored two runs.

Karlyn Pickens (8-3) pitched three innings and allowed three runs, two hits and one walk. She recorded six strikeouts. Pickens totaled 47 pitches and 35 strikes.
