When is Steph Curry finally returning to Warriors?
Here's the latest on Steph Curry's status as he misses Sunday night's game against the Nuggets.
It's been a tumultuous season for the Golden State Warriors , to say the least. At this moment, Golden State sits at just 10th place in the Western Conference standings, a shoo-in for the NBA's play-in tournament, but likely not much else beyond that. It's tough to feel confident or positive about this version of Golden State.
Injury and health issues for the aging Warriors' core are likely the biggest culprits in their gradual demise. Stalwart forward Jimmy Butler tore his ACL in mid-January. Big man Draymond Green looks like he's lost a step at times.
Last but certainly not least, a "runner's knee" for franchise talisman Steph Curry has kept him out of Golden State's lineup since just before the annual All-Star break. Because of the NBA's 65-game threshold for award eligibility, the injury is why Curry will not be part of an All-NBA team for the first time since 2020. But the Warriors and Curry have bigger fish to fry.
Curry's continued absence harms the Warriors more than anyone else. The Warriors are built around Curry's all-time gravity and ability to space the floor on the offensive end. He is an all-timer capable of unique greatness on any given stepback 3-point shot.
