Is Miles McBride playing for Knicks on Sunday night?
Here's what we know about Miles McBride's status for the Knicks on Sunday night against the Thunder.
When healthy and available, Miles "Deuce" McBride is one of the NBA's better bench microwave scorers. But staying healthy has been a problem for McBride this season. The New York Knicks swingman has appeared in just 35 of a possible 74 games to this stage.
Because of his recovery from sports hernia surgery, he actually hasn't appeared in a game for the Knicks since late January. Woof. The good news is that it looks like the Knicks and McBride could be receiving good news on Sunday night.
Ahead of a matchup with the reigning NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder ( where Caitlin Clark will work the studio broadcast ), the Knicks officially upgraded McBride's status to "questionable. " It's the first time he hasn't been outright ruled out for a game since his surgery. This designation, of course, doesn't mean that McBride will definitely return against Oklahoma City.
Everyone involved might want him to wait another game or two as he gets his conditioning back. It's just a sign that he's finally healthy enough to play for the first time in over two months, and that's good news! It's as good a sign as any that McBride will likely return very soon.
