Cleveland Browns Trade Idea Nets Young Pro Bowl Receiver

Yahoo Sports

The Cleveland Browns are in the middle of an organizational overhaul. They’ve already moved on from two-time NFL Coach of the Year Kevin Stefanski and have since hired Todd Monken to replace him. The Browns also don’t have a franchise quarterback, despite having three QBs on the roster.

Yet, to properly evaluate Cleveland’s stable of quarterbacks, they may want to strengthen the foundation around them. Whether it’s the offensive line, pass-catchers, or both, the Browns have a lot of unproven commodities. They also have two first-round picks, one or possibly two of which could be used on the positions in question.

However, recently, Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski had another idea. Why not just try trading for a proven talent who’s already an NFL veteran? His suggestion is for the Browns to trade for wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr.

from the Jaguars. “In what could turn out to be (a) fascinating turn of events reminiscent of the film Draft Day , the Cleveland Browns could send this year’s first-round pick originally acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars back to where it belongs, with wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. being the cost of doing business.

” Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski on Browns/Brian Thomas Jr. trade While trading for Thomas, a one-time Pro Bowler who’s still just 23, may sound like an ideal solution in Cleveland, there’s no guarantee Jacksonville wants to trade him. In fact, more reports suggest the 23rd overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft is not even really available.
