FSU pushing hard for blue-chip edge, official visit set
Florida State had one of its biggest targets, four-star edge Jabarrius Garror on campus over the weekend, and he's set an official visit.
2027 four-star edge Jabarrius Garror has been a top priority for Florida State since they extended an offer in January of 2024. That continued even after he committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide that July, as they hosted him four times in 2025. Garror also visited FSU for their Junior Day in January.
However, something has changed since then. Garror made himself an even hotter commodity earlier this month when he decommitted from Alabama , giving Florida State an even greater shot at landing his commitment. Over the weekend, Garror was back on campus again for FSU's Legacy Weekend, and his reason was very straightforward.
"Same reason as always, I love Florida State and the coaches. Great environment," Garror told Noles247 . "That is the reason.
" As the 2026 season approaches, it will be a huge one for FSU as they look to get back to national prominence. It will also be monumental for edge coach Nick Williams, who is entering his first season on the staff. Williams has a reputation for being a great recruiter and someone who can develop talent, as he most recently got Fadil Diggs drafted in the seventh round of the 2025 after working with him at Syracuse.
