Florida State prioritizing elite in-state quarterback target
Florida State is searching hard for a quarterback commitment in the 2027 cycle, and they're making four-star Champ Monds feel like a priority.
The FSU Seminoles just held their Legacy Weekend. Plenty of elite recruits were on campus, and one was four-star quarterback Champ Monds out of Vero Beach, Florida. It was the second trip for Monds to see FSU this year after his Junior Day trip back in January.
The Seminoles didn't disappoint as Monds took in spring practice. โIt was great to get back up here and see Coach Norvell and the whole coaching staff,โ Monds said via Warchant . โGetting to see that scrimmage and see how they coach on the field, it was great to be able to do that today.
โ Monds was first offered by Florida State back in June of 2024 when he attended a 7-7-on-7 camp. Although he hasn't taken a lot of trips to see them, FSU has been consistent not only in their communication with Monds, but making him feel important. As things set currently, Monds thinks he's the top priority for the Seminoles in their quarterback search for the 2027 cycle.
โThey definitely made me feel like a priority today, all day,โ said Monds. โThey made me feel like a priority, so I say that was the main thing, just letting me know that they want me. They want me to come to Florida State and [explaining] how I would fit in their offense.
